Sept 14 and 15

 Grade 8:

• Students should have completed labeling the microscope parts and functions
• Today students practiced using the microscopes and exploring prepared slides
• Tomorrow's class will be "The Letter e Lab"
• Friday students will complete the MIPI (during math and science class)
• Students are encouraged to bring technology to complete the MIPI

Grade 9:

• Student should have labeled their periodic tables (Families 1, 2, 17 and 18), identified the metals, non-metals and metalloids, drawn the staircase and neatly wrote ion charges for elements 1 - 54

• Today students worked through the Understanding the Periodic Table Handout (no need to complete the last 2 columns of the table
